On that particular day, the dining hall which was usually silent was filled with the sound of a moving concerto. As I closed my eyes, I became mesmerized by the instruments. The familiar sounds of clanking silverware and screeching chairs became one with the music and I became one with all of life. My senses were arrested by the sounds and I could feel the love of the universe pour over me. To the regular ear, these sounds of silverware and chairs may have been considered noise, but not in this moment. And, maybe that's all it ever is -- all these sights, sounds, smells, thoughts and feelings make up the concerto of our lives. The present moment always available, the love of the universe on full blast. Are you taking notice? ~channeled by Janelle~ on silent retreat

And are you not sometimes like the hummingbird who circles the same flower day after day and wonders where the sweetness has gone? In the same way you approach your life and wonder where the joy has gone. In your humanness, you place a high value on routines, consistency and sameness and you think worrying is necessary when changes occur in your life. Your soul is thirsting for many unique and varied experiences in this lifetime. Take a chance, circle a few new flowers and taste the sweetness of this life. Invite in and allow the flow of life that comes with open arms. Give thanks for what we are offering you. ~channeled by Janelle~ |
